Hi there, Kim! Thank you so much for bringing your question to us, here at planDisney!
Congratulations on your
Disneyland Resort Magic Key renewal! Doesn't it feel great to know you have a whole year of magic awaiting you in the Happiest Place on Earth? Although, I can imagine it might be frustrating to experience something preventing you from being able to actually
use your Magic Key!
So, let's see if we can unlock a few steps and get you on your way to enjoying all the special benefits of being a Magic Key holder. First, you may want to review any existing theme park reservations that you have made associated with your Magic Key by selecting "
My Plans" on the Disneyland website or
official mobile app. Depending on the
Magic Key pass type, you may already be at the limit of reservations that may be held at a time during the booking window. If you have maxed out the number of park reservations, you won't be able to make another park reservation until one of your currently held reservations is used, expires, or is canceled. For example, the current policy is that Imagine Key holders may make up to 2 park reservations at a time, while Enchant Key holders may hold 4 reservations, and both Believe and Inspire Key holders may have 6 park reservations at any one time.
Another idea I had to help you troubleshoot is to ensure that your intended reservation date is not blocked out for your specific Magic Key pass. As you most likely know, admission using your Magic Key is subject to blockout dates and reservation availability so I always like to recommend that Guests keep their eye on the
Magic Key Calendar. During very popular seasons, weekends, or holidays, it isn't uncommon to see days where reservations are completely unavailable for a given Magic Key pass type. However, Guests will frequently change their plans, so if you have your heart set on a particular day, don't give up hope! Check back regularly to see if reservations become available on your selected date.
Finally, I recommend that you call the
Magic Key holder line and speak to a Cast Member to see if there is anything unusual happening with your account. I have found them to be very helpful and informative when I call, so please don't hesitate to reach out! They can also go over any
terms & conditions of your Magic Key pass if you have questions.
I hope this helps give you a start in the right direction, Kim! For some fun content, news, and announcements exclusive to Magic Key holders, you may want to check out

Wishing you
Wondrous Journeys,
