Hi Itzel,
Thanks for visiting planDisney! As fellow
Magic Key holders, we know how important it is to stay on top of our membership to ensure we always have access to the magic. I recently renewed my Magic Key, so I’m happy to help with your question.
You can begin the
renewal process up to 30 days before your Magic Key expires. For example, my pass was set to expire on May 2, and I was able to renew it on April 2. Since I’m a California resident, I chose the monthly payment option. Just a heads-up: during that overlapping month, I was charged for both my current pass and the renewed one.
One major benefit of renewing early is that it allows you to start making park reservations right away. I was especially eager to secure a weekend spot for the 70th Anniversary celebrations, so renewing early gave me the best chance to snag that coveted reservation.
As a Magic Key holder, be sure to take full advantage of your
perks! I highly recommend following
@disneylandmagickey on social media to stay up to date on the latest offers and exclusive events. Recently, Magic Key holders were even given
early access to purchase limited-edition merchandise for the 70th Anniversary! We have already seen that there will be
some special 70th Anniversary merchandise just for Magic Key holders!
One of my favorite Magic Key perks is visiting the
Magic Key Terrace at Disney California Adventure. It offers beautiful views of the park and truly makes you feel like a VIP. The bites and appetizers are always delicious—my personal favorite is the Emperor’s New Flatbread. Plus, the specialty cocktail menu is not to be missed!
I hope this helps you with updating your Magic Key, Itzel! If you have any more questions or need a few extra tips, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney days.
Catch you in the parks!
