Hi Tamara! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for taking the time to send us your question.
As a former Disneyland Resort Annual Passholder for thirteen years, I know what it's like to have that extra magic. I'm sorry to say that if your pass expired in February 2020, you will not have the chance to renew it. I know this is a bummer and not the news you were hoping for. My annual pass was still active when the Covid pandemic caused the closure of the Disneyland Resort. Because there were so many unknowns surrounding that time, annual passholders received a refund for the remaining days we could have used our pass. So, I understand how this news is disappointing. I miss being an annual passholder too.
The new annual pass program, the
Disneyland Resort Magic Key Program, was launched last August and was open to anyone that wanted to purchase a new annual pass, including former annual passholders. The
Magic Key Passes were so incredibly popular that they sold out. At this time, the Magic Key Passes are only available to those within their 30-day renewal window. While we don't know if or when Magic Key Passes will be available again for purchase, I would encourage you to have faith, trust, and pixie dust that you might be able to become an annual passholder again. In the event that there is any official news about this, you can find it on the
Disney Parks Blog website.
In the meantime, we're happy to help you at
planDisney with any planning questions you might have. The
Holidays are arriving soon and the
Disney 100 Celebration is just around the river bend, so there are many magical things to see and do if you want to visit
The Happiest Place on Earth!
Wishing you magic!
