how do I renew my magic key pass?

Hello there, Korina! We appreciate you stopping by planDisney as a Magic Key holder to ask us a question.

I'm thrilled to hear you are wanting to renew your Magic Key pass. I just renewed my pass this week as well, and since I just did this I'd be happy to walk you through how to do it! To get your renewal started, head to the Disneyland website and click on the "Magic Key" tab on the menu. Then, scroll all the way down to almost the bottom of the page. There you will see a "What's Next" headline and options under it where you will hopefully see a link titled, "Renew Magic Key Passes". This will prompt you to log in to your Disney account and bring you to the renewal page where you can continue with the same pass you had this year or upgrade/downgrade to any pass that is currently available. Also, I see you are a California resident, so make sure you select the box if you want to make monthly payments instead of paying in full. I love that option for those of us in California!

Once you renew your pass, go make some new reservations! You will see two pass options when you go to make a reservation, your current Magic Key and your Magic Key renewal so you can start making reservations past the expiration date of your current Magic Key. There are so many exciting things happening in January between Lunar New Year, the Disney100 Celebration, and Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway attraction opening!

Korina, thanks again for stopping by! I hope your 2023 is full of Magic Key visits to Disneyland Resort.

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
