Hey howdy hey, Liza! You’ve got a friend in me at
planDisney, so let’s get started!
First off, I’m so excited to hEAR that you’re a
Magic Key holder, and that it’s time for you to renew! I hope you’ve enjoyed a magical year at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
As you know, Magic Key passes are currently eligible for renewal up to 30 days before their expiration date. So, it sounds like you may be within your renewal window. If you want to double check your expiration date, you can do so by pulling up your
Disneyland app and checking in the “Tickets and Passes” section. Underneath the bar code of your Magic Key, you’ll see a countdown to your expiration, (for example, “10 Days Remaining”) in addition to your expiration date. So, if you’re within your renewal window, you can go ahead and navigate to
Disneyland.com/renew to get the process started. You’ll be prompted to sign into your Disney account, and then you’ll be directed to the renewal page, which will say, “Renew Your Magic Key Pass” at the top of the page. There, you’ll see your Magic Key, along with any other Keys you’re linked to, that are within their renewal windows. You'll have the chance to upgrade or downgrade to a different pass type, subject to pass availability, which may change from time to time. From there, you’ll complete your transaction, and be on your way to another year of magic and adventure!
If you’re planning to be in the theme parks between now and September 2, 2022, be sure to check out an exclusive Magic Key holder photo opportunity! This royal photo spot includes a complimentary Disney PhotoPass digital photo download and magical extras, too. You can find it near Stage 17 in Disney California Adventure Park between 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM daily. For all the latest Magic Key announcements, be sure to follow

Wishing you magic,
Kristin
