Hey there, Eric. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by to share your question with us. I'm so glad to hear that you are a
Magic Key holder and I hope you have been enjoying your year of magic.
A Magic Key pass can be renewed up to 30 days before the expiration date. While you can complete your renewal on the day of its expiration, I recommend doing this at least a few days (if not more) prior. You never know what technical issues you may encounter and once your pass has expired, it cannot be renewed. It's also worth noting that Magic Key pass sales are currently paused and if you miss your renewal date, you will not be able to purchase a new Magic Key pass until sales reopen.
I recently renewed my Magic Key pass and I am so excited about another year filled with magic. I renewed my pass a week after my renewal window opened and I was able to start making theme park reservations for the renewed pass immediately. It was really nice not having to wait until my new pass was technically active to make future reservations.
I hope you've been enjoying all of the perks of being a Magic Key holder, Eric. If you aren't already, follow
@disneylandmagickey on Instagram for the latest and greatest updates for Magic Key holders. There's also a portal in the
Disneyland app that I make sure to visit before I head to the Disneyland Resort. It gives me an idea of any exclusive offerings that may be available. In fact, right now there are a couple of spooktacular Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots available just for Magic Key holders.
Eric, I hope this is helpful are you are preparing to renew your Magic Key pass. If there's anything else that you might be curious about, please come back to ask us. Until then, here's to unlocking another year of magic at the Happiest Place on Earth!
