Welcome to planDisney, Krystal! Thank you so much for stopping by with your question. It sounds like you’re getting everything perfectly organized for your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Managing tickets and passes in your My Disney Experience account can feel a little tricky at times, but I’d be delighted to help you understand how to remove or reassign others from your tickets so that everything is set up just the way you want before your magical adventure begins.
To remove someone from your tickets or passes in
My Disney Experience, the process depends on whether the tickets are already linked and who manages the profiles involved. While you can’t technically “delete” a person or a ticket from your account once it’s linked, you can reassign unused tickets or adjust who they’re connected to.
If you’re using the My Disney Experience app, start by opening the app and tapping the menu icon in the bottom right corner. Choose “Tickets and Passes” to see all the tickets associated with your account. Each ticket will list the name of the person it’s currently assigned to. If the ticket is unused and you see an option labeled “Reassign Ticket,” tap it. You’ll then be able to choose someone else from your
Family & Friends list or reassign it to yourself. However, if a ticket has already been used or partially used, it cannot be reassigned, and it must remain linked to that guest’s profile.
If you prefer using the Disney World website, go to the My Disney Experience section and select “My Plans.” Under the section for “My Plans, Reservations and Tickets,” click on “Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker.” This will show all the tickets connected to your account. Next to each name, there may be a “Reassign Ticket” link. If it’s available, that means the ticket is still eligible to be moved to a different person. Choose your own name or another person on your Family & Friends list to complete the reassignment.
It’s important to know that tickets can only be reassigned among people on your Family & Friends list, and the ability to do so only exists for tickets that have not yet been used. If the other person manages their own Disney account (meaning they log in separately), you won’t be able to remove them or reassign their ticket directly from your end. In this case, the person would need to manage the ticket themselves, or you can contact Disney Guest Services for help.
If you find that the reassignment option isn’t showing up or that a ticket was mistakenly linked to the wrong person, Disney’s technical support team can usually fix it. You can contact
Disney's App Support and a Cast Members can review your situation and manually move an unused ticket to the correct profile if needed.
Krystal, I hope this information helps you feel ready to manage your tickets and passes with ease in My Disney Experience. Once everything is set just right, you’ll be free to focus on the fun; making memories, enjoying your favorite attractions, and soaking in every magical moment at Walt Disney World. Thank you for visiting planDisney with your question. Wishing you a smooth planning experience and a vacation that’s every bit as magical and joy filled as you’ve been dreaming of!
