    I would like to remove an old listing from friends and family on my Disney Experience app (my son added his current 16 year old profile…I would like to delete his 10 year old profile. App wont let me. Also, how do we link our Swan reservation?

    Hey there, hi there, ho there, Katherine! You and your Walt Disney World Resort trip-planning questions are as welcome as can be at planDisney. 

    As the mom of a 10-year-old, it occurred to me recently that I only have a few years left to manage my daughter's plans in My Disney Experience. After that, watch out Walt Disney World, haha! Here are the steps to take to merge your 10-year-old's My Disney Experience profile (managed by you) with his own, separate account online:

    1. Click "Update" next to your son's name as it appears on your Family and Friends list.
    2. Click "Share planning with <<your son's name>>"
    3. Enter the email address associated with your son's My Disney Experience account and click "Continue."

    Your son will then receive an email invitation to connect. Once accepted, any plans still stored under his profile in your account will be automagically transferred to his account. You will remain connected as Family and Friends, which means you are still able to link and make various reservations for each other.

    Now I understand you already added your son's new My Disney Experience to your Family and Friends list, so there's a chance the steps outlined above will no longer work. If that's the case and you are not able to delete the extra profile by clicking "Update" --> "Remove from This List" next to his name, Cast Member assistance is required. To be honest, having the extra profile is not a big deal for now as long as all new vacation entitlements are linked solely to his new account. To help with this, make sure the profile pictures for each profile are different. A Cast Member at (407) 939-4357 can assist you with removing the extra profile at any time, or you can even wait and speak to a Cast Member at a Guest Relations window after you arrive. I know that seems a ways away, I just don't think the wait to speak with a Cast Member on the phone is necessary right now, at least not for this issue.

    Regarding steps for linking your Walt Disney World Swan Hotel reservation, Raquel had some great tips to share. I will add that I just now was able to link a Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel reservation to my account using the eight-digit number in my email confirmation along with the last name on the reservation. You've chosen a beautiful resort!
