Hey Howdy hey Marcie and welcome to planDisney!
It is exciting to hear that you have booked a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort! One of your biggest planning tools will be a well-working
My Disney Experience account. Thank you for your question about updating your account information. I will be happy to give you more information on how to do this.
A scenario such as this happened to me a few years ago. I had planned a trip and set up my My Disney Experience account however the profile that was linked was not the one I was familiar with. Not quite the same situation but I needed to change one account for another. The only way I was able to do this was with a
call to Disney. The Cast Member was able to identify the account that I did not want and deactivate it while replacing the account I did want on the new reservation I had recently made. I am sure if you called, they would be able to do the very same thing to get your reservation updated and profiles linked appropriately.
If this is your first trip in a bit, I would recommend you familiarise yourself with
Virtual Queues,
Genie+ and
Lightning Lanes. All of these are ways to experience attractions throughout Walt Disney World and can be managed through your My Disney Experience app. Recently, Disney has been utilizing Virtual Queues for new attractions such as with
Tiana'a Bayou Adventure opening on June 28th. Traditional stand-by lines are not utilized with these attractions so if you have them on your "Must Do" list, make sure you can get in the Virtual Queue and secure your boarding group!
If you have any further questions, please feel free to stop back and let us know, we are always happy to help!
Have a Magical day,
Nick
