How do I remove a guest from a Disney dining reservation?

    Hi Theresa!

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question about dining reservations - I'm happy to help!

It looks like you'll be arriving for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation in just a few short weeks - how exciting! November will be here before you know it, and it sounds like you're getting your plans in order for your pixie-dusted Disney getaway.

If you need to remove a Guest from a Disney dining reservation, you'll need to go to your My Disney Experience account to modify the reservation. On the Walt Disney World website, next to the reservation, you'll see the option to Change Reservation or Cancel Reservation. If you select "Change Reservation", you'll be given the choice to change the date, time, or party size. From there, you can select the number of Guests you'll need on the reservation. Once you change the party size, you'll then search for times available and will select a new time to accommodate your smaller party. After you select the new time, you'll be asked to select which Guests you'd like to keep in the dining party. Once that information is confirmed, your reservation is good to go! (You can also modify a dining reservation using the My Disney Experience mobile app.)

Please note that your dining reservation time could possibly be altered when you modify the number of Guests. Unless you're removing the Guest so they will be freed up to book another dining experience during the same time, here's my advice: when you arrive at the dining location, you can make the change when you check in for the reservation. You should be able to modify the number of Guests when you check in on the My Disney Experience mobile app, but you can also just let the host/hostess know that you'll have one less person in your dining party.

You'll be visiting Walt Disney World at such a great time. Not only will the parks and resorts be decorated for the holidays, but the 50th Anniversary revelry will be in full swing! The World's Most Magical Celebration begins October 1 and will last for 18 months. I can't wait to experience all the new Guest offerings, including Beacons of Magic, Disney Kite Tails, TWO new Nighttime Spectaculars, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and more. It's going to be an awesome celebration!

Thanks again for visiting planDisney with your question. Please come back with any questions you have before you arrive for your magical vacation!
