I remember many years back that the Grand Californian offered bedtime stories in front of the fireplace read by a princess. I am planning my stay at the Californian with children but can not find anything about it on the website. Do they still do this?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tim. Thanks for your question regarding the beautiful Grand Californian Hotel and Spa.

“Tales from the Hearth” and other bedtime stories around the fireplace have been discontinued at the Grand Californian Hotel and Spa. During my most recent stay in February, “A Magical Night at the Movies” took place in the evenings. A Disney featured film was shown at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels each night.

Every evening, you can also turn to the designated channel on your TV at any of the Disneyland Resort hotels to hear Disney’s Princess Story Time. What a sweet way to unwind after a long day of fun in the parks!

I hope you’ll find this information helpful as you plan your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. I wish you and your family a magical trip in June, Tim. Please visit me on the Panel again if you have further questions.

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
