I remember seeing Disney offering the free dining plan at certain times of the year. Does anyone know if they still do this? We are going at the end of August to the beginning of September and its 6 of us. Im just want to know budget friendly ideas

    Hi Yeinlyn,

Thank you so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. The end of August and beginning of September is a great time to visit Walt Disney World. Crowds tend to be lower as children head back to school. My family and I visit Walt Disney World at the end of August often.

Walt Disney World does put out special offers on a fairly regular basis. We cannot predict based on past offers which offers Walt Disney World will continue, as they do sometimes change from year to year. The link I provided will show you current offers. I suggest checking that link regularly as it will be updated with any special offers that Walt Disney World sets forth.

My favorite budget-friendly tip is to choose accommodations that include a kitchen or kitchenette, such as the family suites at Disney's Art of Animation Resort or a villa at a Disney Vacation Club resort such as Disney's Old Key West Resort. While these might cost a little more than a standard hotel room at a value resort, I find that in the long run I save money by getting groceries and preparing a meal or two a day at my resort. We also carry many of our snacks into the theme parks when we visit. Only eating out one time per day saves my family money on our Walt Disney World vacations.

I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Yeinlyn. Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
