I remember ejoying some excellent tea with my mother at AKL back in 2001. Now looking at the restaurants I can't seem to figure out where we were drinking the tea! I remember it being a dark and quiet atmosphere - very soothing after a long day. Any ideas?

Did your memorable location by any chance overlook a buffet restaurant, Erin?  There is a lounge--Victoria Falls--nestled on a level over Boma that fits your description.  While there is ample bar seating, there are also plenty of comfy couches and chairs placed snug in corners of the lounge.

The lobby of Animal Kingdom Lodge also features a number of conversation areas scattered throughout.  There is a fire and rockers in one location; perhaps you grabbed a spot of tea and headed there.  So, too, are there savanna overlooks with rocking chairs.

Suffice it to say, you will likely be able to steal away to a secluded spot on your return trip to unwind after a long, tiring day; they are plentiful!
