Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Mary!
You are as welcome as can be here at planDisney. How exciting that you are planning a split stay for your upcoming Disney vacation. We recently did a split stay ourselves at two Disney Vacation Club Resorts back in March. I always love a split stay because in many ways, it's like two vacations in one!
Mary, I did some research, and based on what I have found, your
Disney Dining Plans are associated with the Disney Resort Hotel stay. As you've noted, meals from the dining plan associated with your first reservation will expire at midnight on the day of your checkout. There is a running total in your
My Disney Experience account for you to keep track of how many credits you have remaining, and Cast Members can also tell you this (a summary is typically located on the bottom of your dining receipts.)
Once you've checked into your second hotel (either in person or online through the My Disney Experience mobile app), you should also get access to the meals associated with your second stay. You should be able to redeem any leftover meals from your first stay on your checkout day as well as meals from your second stay on that very same day (since that'll be your check-in day for that stay). When you check out at a Disney Dining Location, I would double-check with the Cast Member that they are using your remaining credit from your first stay prior to using those associated with your second stay. From what I understand, this should be possible.
Now, if you have a split stay in 2025, Mary, you also have access to the complimentary Disney Water Park benefit on BOTH check in days! How's that for magic? Our family enjoyed the complimentary water park day on both of our check-in days. In fact, on our second day, we booked a Polar Patio and spent the whole day at Disney's Blizzard Beach. It's a great way to enjoy Disney in a new way, maximize the magic of your vacation, and have fun while waiting for your Disney Resort Hotel room to be ready for you!
If you would like to take advantage of this
Water Park benefit, you can stop by your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel and check-in (if you haven't done so online already.) Then, stop by Bell Services and drop your bags, and then take the complimentary Resort bus transportation to either of the two Water Parks. It's as easy as Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!
I hope this helps you, Mary! If you have any further Disney vacation planning questions, soar back here to see me and I'll be so happy to help you.
Magically Yours,
Keri
