Welcome to planDisney, Frances. It's a pleasure to answer your question today. I feel well-heeled on the journey from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort so let's discuss the three main
options to arrive at the Most Magical Place on Earth - a taxi or ride share, a bus or shuttle, or renting a car and driving yourself.
Mears Connect offers bus shuttle services between Orlando Airport and Disney Resort hotels. You can pre-book this from home. If your party size might not fit into even the largest rideshare, this might be a good fit for you. Also, if you have little ones but aren't planning on lugging along car seats, they are not a requirement for these bus services.
Rideshares and taxis sometimes offer better value than a shuttle depending on your group size. As they only transport your party, this direct service might be a quicker journey. You can download apps in advance to book such services, such as the Lyft App. When on Walt Disney World property, you'll also be able to book the iconic
Minnie Van through the Lyft app to get around - handily, these also have car seats ready to go, if needed.
The final option is car rental. If you prefer the flexibility and convenience of having our own car during our stay, please know that Disney Resort Guests receive complimentary parking at their Resort and Theme Parks. Once you are home at Walt Disney World, the complimentary transport for Guests throughout the resort, including
Disney Skyliner, romantic ferry boats, and legendary Disney Buses will have you arriving at your destination with a little sprinkling of pixie dust!
Disney's Art of Animation Resort is particularly well placed for Disney Skyliner; my ultimate choice in transport.
I hope this information helps, Frances, and that you have a safe journey and magical time at Walt Disney World - if you need anything further, please pop back. Wishing you blue skies and sunshine for your adventure, Louise.
