Welcome to planDisney, Deborah! Thanks for sharing your splash-tastic pool question with us!
My wife and I love staying at
Walt Disney World Resort hotels for their proximity to the theme parks, complimentary transportation, delicious dining options, and fun themes. My kids love staying at Walt Disney World Resort hotels because of the pools. Oh, and the waterslides.
While your relatives are more than welcome to visit you at your hotel, day guests are not permitted to use Walt Disney World Resort hotel pools. The pools are reserved for guests with hotel reservations, and you need a hotel key card or MagicBand to access the pool area.
If you plan to have guests visit you, be sure to notify Cast Members at the front desk so they can notify security at the hotel’s main gate. Security will ask for your name and room number, and they may also ask for a reservation number, so make sure your guests have all that info handy. Also, as we approach the busy
Fourth of July holiday, remember that security may turn away day guests arriving by car if the hotel is busy or parking is limited.
Deborah, I hope this helps with your vacation planning and that you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World. Pop right back if you have any more questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
Matt
