Hiya, Amber!
Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!
Oh boy! It sounds like you and your crew are ready to have a very happy
Holiday time Disneyland style! I'm both very excited for, and slightly jealous of, your plans!! Be sure that you're keeping up with the
Disney Parks Blog, both their website as well as
their social media channels, as they'll soon start to post all kinds of
holiday hints and Disneyland December must-dos!
Hmmm, this one is a stumper. Typically if multiple households are going on an extended family gathering, even if one person is picking up the tab all around,
and this reservation was made over the phone, each
Disneyland Resort Hotel guestroom room would be split off into its own reservation. (Example, my husband and I plus our son would be three Guests sleeping in one room on reservation one; his brother + wife and their three kids would be five people in one room on a second reservation; their dad would be party three in reservation and room three, etc.) This almost makes me wonder if your crew has a three-bedroom suite.
I sadly don't have the proper magic mirror to check the reservation or how it was set up. My friends at the
Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservation Helpline can certainly assist in figuring this out. They can be reached at (714) 956-6425. However, I have one more guess that might also help get to the bottom of this: for the one confirmation number you have, ask the reservation maker how they booked it.
For reservations booked online, when you insert the total number of guests and press 'search', you'll
only be shown rooms that can safely sleep that
total number of guests. Standard rooms top out at 5, 1-bedroom suites sleep a max of 6, and so on. This is why I think your group may have a three-bedroom suite. The suites are pretty fantastic; each sleeping room will have its own restroom and door, but you'll have a communal kitchen and living room to relax in. If, however, you'd rather not be that close, you can also ask the Reservation Cast Member to switch your group into regular rooms. (It's also really possible that I'm wrong in this guess.)
Bonus Tip: Just because I'm super curious now, pull up the reservation in the booker's
My Disneyland Account as it will specify the type of room linked to the confirmation number.
I'm so sorry that this answer didn't help solve the mystery, but hopefully you'll know about your rooms real soon! Be sure to follow the
official planDisney Panel Instagram account for even more tips and tricks. And if you have any more
