Relatives are flying in to surprise my birthday boy while we are on vacation. Does everyone at a dinner table have to be on the same plan or can we get seperate checks since they won't be on the dining plan?

    Hi Terri!

Yes, you can split the check however you'd like. It's not a problem if some people are on the dining plan while others are paying out of pocket. Just be sure to let your server know how you would like to split it before you order to make it easier on him/her. Parties of six or more are automatically charged an 18% gratuity, and even this can be split among the checks.

I hope your son enjoys his birthday surprise! It sounds like it'll be very special!
