Hi there, in relation to new lightening lane, we are doing a split stay (Disney World resorts). Can we book 7 days prior for the whole of our entire trip? Also, we are from the UK, will booking lightening lanes 7 days prior from the UK be an issue?

Hi Robert, a warm welcome back to planDisney.

At the moment, UK Guests can only make their first Lightning Lane booking once they arrive in the States. Once on US soil, as a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you can book Lightning Lane access for the following two weeks of your stay, starting seven days in advance. Even split Disney Resort hotel stays are included in this benefit, provided the stay is continuous. If there is a break between your stays, you must plan up to seven days before each check-in day.

One of the great features of the updated Lightning Lane Multi Pass is that you will know in advance which three rides are available and the timings of pre-bookable Lightning Lanes, giving you greater clarity before purchase. Beyond those initial three pre-bookable Lightning Lanes, all Guests are in the same boat on the day; once you tap into your Lightning Lane, you can look to book another on My Disney Experience.

The Lightning Lane Single Pass, available for the most popular rides (and not covered by the Lightning Lane Multi Pass) allows Guests to buy up to 2 single passes per day, subject to availability. Pricing for all options varies by day and ride choice but will be displayed in the My Disney Experience App before you make any purchases.

Please know that Lightning Lanes are not essential to enjoy Walt Disney World. There is so much to experience, from entertainment to snacks, that more spontaneous days, with a different kind of Disney magic, are perfect in themselves. Regardless, Disney Resort hotel Guests have the benefit of Early Entry, allowing you to enter the Parks when the wait times are typically lower.

Robert, I hope this information helps today and that you can soak up every moment of magic at Walt Disney World.

    Enjoy your adventure!
