Ahoy there, Michael, and welcome back to planDisney! As someone who just bought yet another original VHS copy of “Mary Poppins”, I completely relate to why you’re pondering these questions, so I’m happy to help.
As much as I’d like to be able to tell you that we could make your dreams come true, I
chatted with a helpful Disney Cruise Line representative who confirmed that a VCR is
not permitted onboard. If it makes you feel any better, the televisions in the staterooms are not equipped with ports for cords such as HDMI or USB either. So it’s better to leave your DVD, VHS, and gaming consoles on land.
While it sounds like you wanted to plug in during your vacation, there’s so much to do while unplugging on a Disney Cruise! I like to start by swirling some complimentary soft serve ice cream into a cone and dancing on deck during the
Sailing Away Deck Party. To really unwind, I recommend booking a spa service at
Senses or sipping a specialty coffee at Cove Café while sitting by the adult pool.
Of course, there are so many activities to enjoy and meals to eat while onboard, too. If you were going to stay connected to anything during your trip, may I suggest the free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app? Download it before embarkation and then connect to the DCL-GUEST WiFi once onboard to have all the schedules, specials, and showtimes in the palm of your hand.
I’m sorry I didn’t have better news for you today, Michael, but I know you have a magical voyage ahead of you! And if you think of any more questions before setting sail, I hope you’ll float back to us here at
planDisney.
SEA ya real soon,
Sami
