Hiya Sarah!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for sending us this magical question! As Remy once said: "The only thing predictable about life is its unpredictability." I hope your whole party will be able to enjoy the Disney magic together, but thankfully there are a few things you can do should you reorganize your plans a bit!
First, theme park tickets and special event tickets such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party or Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party
can be reassigned as long as they have not been used. For a regular theme park ticket, this means that it can be reassigned up until its very first use on the first day of your visit. This can be done online on the
My Disney Experience website by clicking on "My Plans" and "Tickets & Memory Maker." Then, locate the ticket you would like to reassign and click on "Reassign Ticket." It is important to note that
theme park reservations will not transfer, so you will have to rebook them. If you have dining reservations, you can still enjoy them without changing your party as long as the number of Guests remains the same. For Resort hotel reservations, however, I would highly recommend that you
reach out to a Cast Member via chat, email or phone, as I had some difficulty changing the Guests linked to my Resort reservation. As always, you can also reach out to a Cast Member if you need help with any of the steps mentioned above!
Now, Sarah, did you know that the holiday magic doesn't have to end after your Christmas party? Indeed, the other theme parks also have special offerings that you can check out, such as
EPCOT's Festival of the Holidays, for example. Not only do you get to try different foods and treats, but you can also learn about holiday traditions from all around the world! Plus, if your family loves Christmas music as much as mine, watch the
Candlelight Processional at the end of your day. Outside the theme parks, you can also visit other Disney Resort hotels for themed Christmas trees, and some Resorts also have incredible
gingerbread displays. If you need to do some more shopping, visit Disney Springs, as they usually have a
Christmas Tree Stroll with even more themed Christmas trees.
I hope this was helpful, Sarah, and that you and your Ohana will have the best day ever on your next Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don't hesitate to reach out. You're as welcome as can be!
Have a happy, merry, holly, jolly day!
Ariane
