Ahoy, Natalie!
Disney Cruise Line's staterooms were designed with families in mind, so you'll find lots of design elements to make you feel right at home. With lots of storage space, including plenty of room under the bed for your luggage, the staterooms on the Disney Dream are roomy and comfortable! As a mom of teenagers who bring curling irons, straightening irons (and several other hair appliances) on our vacations, I've become quite familiar with the outlet situation in the staterooms!
You'll find two
standard outlets in the desk area of your room. One of these outlets is typically used as the power source for your Wave Phone charger, but you can unplug it whenever you need it. There is also an outlet on one of the bedside tables, which I usually use to charge our devices. Power strips are not allowed, but I bring along a multi-USB charger so we can connect several devices at once. We love using the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App on the ship, so we need to keep a charge on our smartphones! With the app, you can easily communicate with friends and family through the texting feature (there's even cute Disney emojis!), and you can also see a schedule of all the events happening on the ship each day. I like to select my favorites so I'll get reminders of the activities I don't want to miss!
Disney Cruise Line provides guests with amazing entertainment each evening. My kids love the Broadway-style stage shows, and my husband really enjoys the variety/comedy acts! Guests who choose Main Dining will eat first, then head to the show after dinner. For those with Main Dining, the evening's entertainment typically begins at 8:15.
I hope this helps with your planning and preparation for an upcoming vacation on the gorgeous Disney Dream! - Diane W.
