Hi there, Barbara! Welcome to planDisney! Hop aboard the Disneyland Railroad as we take the scenic route to find an answer to your question!
Our routes may differ depending on if you are holding official
Disney Military Promotional Tickets or standard theme park tickets purchased at a discount on a military base, but we'll be sure to cover all our tracks! As we are pulling out of the Main Street, U.S.A. station, let's ensure that your tickets are still active and valid. If they are linked to your Disneyland account, simply head into the "Tickets & Passes" section of the Disneyland Mobile App. Here, you should see any active tickets with the expiration date listed just under the barcode. If they are not showing up for you, they may be passed their expiration date, but not to worry. Typically, the value of an expired, unused ticket can put applied toward the purchase of a brand-new park ticket! If the magic is running low and they are expired, I would check with your local base to find out if this is an option for you or give the
Guest Services team a call. In either case, let's head to the next station so that you have all the information!
Can you already hear the sounds of Pirates of the Caribbean or smell the wafting scent of Mickey Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar? We are just reaching the New Orleans Square station! Let's pull up a seat at Café Orleans and give our beignets a quick shake as we chat about gifting those tickets. If you are holding regular, discounted theme park tickets purchased from a
military base, then it will be smooth sailing to gift those tickets. While names are generally assigned to tickets at the time of purchase, they are not officially assigned until a Guest uses the ticket to swipe through the Main Entrance Gate for the first time on their park day. At this point, the Cast Member will snap a photo of the Guest that assigns the ticket to them. While not a requirement, if you'd like to change the names on the tickets ahead of time, my best advice would be to contact Guest Services. Grab your beignets! We better hop back on the train before it pulls out of the station!
With Mickey's Toontown Station under refurbishment for its reimagining (keep your EARS peeled for news on the reopening this spring!), let's make our way to the final stop - Tomorrowland! If you happen to be holding official
Disney Military Promotional Tickets, there are a few things to keep in mind when making changes to your visiting party. Disneyland is committed to honoring active and retired US military personnel and these tickets are intended for use by the military member or spouse who is visiting with family and friends. The eligible service member or spouse will need to be present and enjoying the park day with whoever is using these special tickets. In this case, you would not be able to transfer the tickets unless you are planning to visit with them. I think I hear the final "All Aboard" whistle! Looks like we are heading back to Main Street, U.S.A.!
Barbara, as we pull up to the station, know that this is not goodbye, just "See Ya Real Soon"! If you are planning a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth with your family, be sure to check out the
discounted rates on rooms at the Disneyland Resort Hotels to make that trip extra magical!
Magic awaits!
