Is there a regular bus route to/from hotels? I am trying to decide between staying at PO Riverside or Caribbean during Christmas vac week. Which would have the shortest time for transportation to parks (and airport). I want PO but kids want Carrib.

Bonjour, Deborah! The fastest route between two points is a straight line, and that's exactly what you'll get for most of the resorts' transportation to the parks. So let's dispense with the geometry and get down to brass tacks.

The majority of resorts have direct bus service from a specific resort to a specific park. The bus service to the parks from Port Orleans Riverside circles around the resort, picking up guests and dropping guests off along the way. Then, the bus proceeds to one of the four parks (the theme park name is listed on the bus). At times, Riverside buddies up with French Quarter on bus service.

Caribbean Beach doesn't share busses with any other resort. It follows a similar pattern of following a loop to pick up guests and drop guests off before continuing on to a park.

There isn't much difference between the two in terms of bus transit time to the parks.

For airport transportation, the Magical Express busses will often have 3-4 resorts on one bus. Sometimes your resort is the first stop, sometimes it's the last. It's unpredictable, and I wouldn't recommend factoring in the bus transportation to or from the airport into your decision making process.

All that being said, I (me / Señor Joel) would recommend Port Orleans Riverside over Caribbean Beach.
