    Hi! When does registration typically open for the half marathon in January? I notice that 2015 is already sold out, and I don't want to miss the boat on 2016!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are correct, the half marathon during the 2015 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend Presented by Cigna® is sold-out. In fact, all runDisney race events are selling out in record time - some races have even sold-out out in just minutes!  

    Typically, registration for January's Marathon Weekend opens in mid-late April for the next year's event. So for the 2016 half marathon, registration will open in April 2015. 

    I also want to suggest signing up for runDisney Email Notifications. This free service will keep you up-to-date on registration information and race details, ensuring you don't miss out on your opportunity to join the fun.
