I am registered for the TOT 10 mil. & I am a new "Wogger" - lol. I am afraid that I may not be able to keep the pace (over ambitious). Is it really a bad thing to be picked up for not keeping the pace? I'm afraid I will be embarrassed.Im at 18

Hi Yvonne!  I love the term "wogger"!  I haven't heard that one!  I am also a "wogger"!!

It is definitely not a bad thing to be picked up on the trail.  You will still get a medal and you will still get to party with the Villains at the post-race bash!  There are plenty of people who aren't able to finish the race for many different reasons.  It is really all about giving it the best you've got and knowing that you will keep getting stronger as you continue to train.

That being said, one thing you can do to help yourself is to position yourself at the front of your corral.  Even if you are in the last starting corral, this will give you a few extra minutes to finish.  The pace sweepers will not begin until the very last person crosses the starting line.

No matter what, don't be embarrassed.  You are doing something good for your body and very few people even try.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
