Hello, Morgan! Thanks for sailing to planDisney before you set sail with Disney Cruise Line.
You ask an excellent question, and I have a few suggestions for you, depending on your situation. The first thing that I invite you to do is to log in to your
Disney Cruise Line Account and see if your Guest information is "pending approval" or if it is listed as "complete". You can view this information from the Cruise Details page after logging in and selecting your reservation. If it is listed as "complete", you may try to modify your travel documentation and submit a photo of your new passport. As it is very close to your sailing, I encourage you to
contact Disney Cruise Line and notify them that you have a new passport.
If your old passport is in your possession, it may be best that you bring both your old passport and new passport to the port for check-in. With your current valid passport with you at the cruise terminal, you will be meeting the necessary citizenship requirements to board. I am hopeful that overall the check-in experience is a smooth process for you.
Your sailing is just around the corner! I'm sure you will soon be packing your suitcases for adventure. Disney Cruise Line provides a
packing checklist for your reference. It's important that you keep any medication and jewelry, as well as your travel documents and port arrival form with you in the bag that you will carry on to the ship. The remainder of your luggage will be left with porters and delivered to your stateroom later in the day. Your stateroom will be ready for you around 1:30 p.m. and it could be a few hours before your luggage is delivered, so be sure to keep any items with you that you may need access to before then. While you wait for your items to be delivered, there will be plenty happening around the ship. You can see all of the details in the activity schedule via the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard.
Have a wonderful voyage!
