Hi There! I am registered for the half marathon in January 2024 and was wondering when I would be able to book a room reservation around race time? Thanks so much in advance!

    Hi ya, Jenifer!

Happy to see you at planDisney again, thanks so much for sending your question! Congratulations on getting signed up for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend, that is a win all by itself! I am so excited to see runDisney events come back to Disneyland. Grab your running shoes, because we are going to go the distance together...I'm running the half marathon, too!

Room reservations for the Disneyland Resort Hotels in 2024 aren't available to book online just yet, we anticipate those bookings becoming available later this summer. However, I would highly recommend reaching out to runDisney (there's a phone number at the bottom of this page) to see if they have any additional information or options for registered runners!

It appears that the Good Neighbor Hotels aren't able to be booked through the Disneyland website for 2024 yet either, although if you contact the hotels directly you may have more luck! You would just need to get your park tickets separately.

A little insider tip: I was told by runDisney Cast Members that the most likely location for the Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend Expo is the Disneyland Hotel. In the past, the starting line has also been very close to the Disneyland Hotel, which makes it a great choice for race weekend! I love the nostalgia (I've stayed at this hotel since I was a very small child) and the theming of each tower. Make sure you visit the lobby of each one to see the different displays, like the massive model of Big Thunder Mountain in the Frontier Tower!

Whether this is your first race or you're an experienced runner, I wanted to share the training programs that Jeff Galloway has developed for runDisney. There are options for both beginning and advanced runners, and each program is tailored to the distance that you're preparing for! I also see workouts shared on the runDisney Instagram account from time to time, and the Disney Parks Blog is a great way to find music to add to your running playlist for training!

It's about time for me to lace up my sneakers for a training run, Jenifer! If you have any other questions for the race weekend I hope you'll send them my way, I'd be happy to help. Wishing you some gorgeous training days and a little pixie dust for your running shoes. I hope I'll see you at the starting line!

    Keep moving forward!
