I registered for the glass slipper challenge. This will be my first half marathon. How many runners will be on the course? Is it going to be so crowded to where I cannot even get to actually run?

    Hi Angela!

The Glass Slipper Challenge is going to be so much fun!  I love this idea:)

As for numbers, there will be around 6,000 runners in the 10K, and around 24,000 in the half marathon.   Last year, there were more than this running in the half and it was a bit crowded in different areas of the course.  RunDisney decided to allow less runners to help with this problem.

Like all races, there will be bottle-necked areas that are a little harder to run freely in, but most of the race will open up on the roads.  I'm not sure if you are running with a group, but keeping more than 2 or 3 runners together makes it more difficult.  At the last Princess Half, I was with 7 friends, and we wanted to stay close to each other.  That was a little hard, but we still had a blast and got some great photos along the way!

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions leading up to your Challenge!
