    Registered for Dark Side Challenge in April. Trying to find course map for 1/2 - is one available? Recommendations on easiest place to stay? Friends who have done Disney recommend staying where monorail stops. Where do you recommend?

    Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    I am really looking forward to seeing the finalized course map for Star Wars Half Marathon- The Dark Side! While they work out all the details, they have given us this description:

    It will be a unique 13.1-mile course that propels runners through Epcot, Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios and finishes at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.  

    This sounds like such a great course!   Be sure to follow runDisney on Twitter (@rundisney) and Facebook (Run Disney).  I'm sure that they will be posting the course very soon and you can usually see it on their social media channels first.  

    All of the Walt Disney World Resorts will be "host" resorts during this race weekend.  This means that they will all offer bus transportation to and from each race event.  The monorails should be running early for runners on the morning of the half marathon.  They are convenient, but the buses are just as convenient, so I would choose the resort that best fits your budget and style.
