runDisney. What better way to do it than with friends and family? I'd love to walk you through the registration process for
runDisney events so that you're one step closer to that magical mile!
Within
runDisney, the
race season calendar is categorized by
events at Walt Disney World, Disneyland and also includes virtual events for those who can’t make it to the parks in person. Once you've found your event weekend, you can go ahead and click on the event you're planning to register for. This will take you to the registration page, where you'll choose the category of the event you intend to sign up for by clicking the "Choose a Category" drop-down menu.
When you register, it will initially be set to register yourself. Your information will auto-populate based on what you have saved in your My Disney account. Before moving on to the next page by clicking the blue "Next Step" button, you'll have the option to add another person by clicking the "I want to add another registration" button while registering yourself.
When you're ready to register another person, you'll click the "I am registering" drop-down menu underneath the "Choose a Category" drop-down menu. You'll have a variety of options to choose from, such as spouse, family member, friend, and even colleague, just to name a few. After that, you'll be prompted to answer questions such as shirt size, date of birth, address, and an emergency contact.
In my experience,
runDisney events fill up fast! Depending on the event you plan to register for, make sure you have your party's information ready to go so that when it's your turn in the queue, you'll be quicker than Lightning McQueen himself. Channel a little "I am speed" energy while typing in everyone's info. it really helps! I once had the task of registering my entire family this past April for the Disneyland Half Marathon, and it really helped having everyone's information on a sticky note to quickly type everything in.
