Ahoy, Kay, and thank you for sailing by planDisney with your question! I’m so excited you’ll be cruising with a little one next month.
Yes, you will need to register for
“it’s a small world” nursery!. They provide care for younglings starting at 6 months and going up to 3 years of age. Because space is extremely limited in the nursery, I recommend making reservations as soon as your
booking window opens online. Keep in mind this service does charge an additional fee and the minimum reservation time is one hour. If you prefer to wait until you’re on board, you can also make reservations during the open house on Embarkation Day or anytime throughout your cruise on a first-come, first-served basis. The
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app is also an incredible resource to check for the latest cruise information and hours of operation.
The very first time I sailed with Disney Cruise Line, we used the nursery for my son (who is now in college!). By taking advantage of the nursery for him and the
Oceaneer Lab for my daughter, the adults in our pod enjoyed a wonderful
dinner at Palo while knowing the kids were being cared for in a way only Disney can.
Another sweet memory we have from that first cruise is a pillowcase signed by all their favorite Disney pals. We brought a plain white pillowcase and a Sharpie with us to all of the
Character greetings, and by the end of the cruise, our kiddos had an out-of-this-world souvenir! (The Navigator app is also great for looking up meet-and-greet schedules.)
The seas and the stars are calling your name! I hope you’ll visit us at planDisney again with any further questions ahead of your trip.
Bon voyage,
Sami
