how do I register for a live video chat for the DAS advance planning

    Hi Mary,

It is great to see you here at planDisney! I’m glad you brought your question to us so that we can help you and your family prepare for your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Disney Parks value making the theme parks a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Guests. The Disability Access Service (DAS) is one way for Guests who find waiting in conventional queues a challenge to have a more magical vacation. You can pre-register via live video chat (available from 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time) with a Cast Member as early as 30 days but at least 2 days prior to your park visit. The live video chat process is fairly simple and there is no need to pre-register for the chat itself.

There are a few things that will make the video chat go smoothly. First, add your travel party to your Friends & Family list and link your theme park admission for everyone in your My Disney Experience. Also, be aware that the Guest who is requesting DAS will need to be present on the chat. Make sure you have your video and audio ready to go.

Next, on the Registering for Disability Access Service page, I encourage you to read the helpful information as you scroll down to find “Ready to Chat with a Cast Member?” You will need to read and agree to the Terms and Conditions by selecting the blue Terms and Conditions button. Once you have completed that step, you will return to the previous page and see that the “Request Live Video Chat” button will now be blue. Just click there and you will enter the queue for the chat.

Mary, you can make DAS Advance selections on a wide selection of attractions (subject to availability) before your visit, which is super convenient. You must make advance selections at least 2 days prior to the day you plan to be in the park to redeem them. During the video chat, the Cast Member will help you make these plans. You may make more plans on the day of your visit in the My Disney Experience app. If you have any questions or problems on the day of your visit, please ask a member of the Guest Experience Team (they are Cast Members wearing blue shirts under the blue umbrella) throughout each of the theme parks.

I’m excited that you and your family will be on your way to making memories soon! If we can assist you in any other way as your vacation draws near, please come back and let me and my planDisney pals know. We love sharing pixie-dusted advice with fellow Guests!

May all your wishes come true,
    Shannon
