Hey there, Sheldon! Welcome to planDisney. It's always a great day when I get to chat with a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'll be happy to explain your options for some extra time in the
Walt Disney World Resort theme parks to maximize the magic!
There are so many benefits to DVC Membership, and at the top of the list are the Deluxe-level accommodations. Our family of four can comfortably stay in a Deluxe Studio or 1-Bedroom Villa, but it's always great to have the option of something larger if we're traveling with friends or extended family.
At Walt Disney World, Members are entitled to some extra time in the parks - both early and after-hours! All Guests at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels enjoy
Early Theme Park Entry and may enter the parks 30 minutes before the posted park opening time. I like to get a head start on our Disney day, and this early access lets us hit a couple of attractions first thing before finding some coffee and a Mickey cinnamon roll!
Guests staying in Deluxe resorts and DVC properties also have access to
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours - no registration required! This benefit, with one theme park open past the posted closing time for two hours, is a great way to finish your day. The crowds are typically not too bad, and you can check a few more attractions off your list! Be sure to check the
Hours & Events Calendar for the specific schedule during your April visit.
Sheldon, you may be referring to the popular
Moonlight Magic events, which are exclusive DVC Member-only events held throughout the year. There is a Moonlight Magic scheduled at
Disney's Hollywood Studios on April 22, but registration is closed at this time. If you were hoping to attend, I recommend contacting
Member Services in the days leading up to the event to see if any reservations open up.
I'm sending my thoughts to our Hawaiian friends this week, and hoping that you and yours can enjoy your Disney vacation - it's just around the corner! If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out again to our planDisney crew.
Welcome Home!
Susan
