Thank you for coming to planDisney with your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question, Emily!
Costs associated with visiting The Most Magical Place On Earth can add up quickly, so utilizing things like Disney Gift Cards,
Disney Rewards Dollars earned by making purchases with a Visa card from Chase, or checking out the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page can go a long way to curbing your out-of-pocket expenses. By the way, all three money-saving techniques are ones that I use for every visit myself!
To register your Disney Gift Card, you will want to head to the
Disney Gift Card website, log into your account, and then select “My Cards” from the top banner. On the following screen, you will be able to add a card, see the balances of cards, combine cards, and review your transaction history.
Disney Gift Cards can’t be loaded into your MyDisney account to be used like you would a credit or debit card, but you can use them to pay down your balance at the end of your stay by stopping by the front desk and working with a Cast Member to put any Disney Gift Cards towards your balance. This is perfect for those who like to use their
MagicBand+ to charge things to your
Disney Resorts Collection folio balance! You can also use Disney Gift Cards to place mobile food orders. I like to keep a note on my mobile phone with my Disney Gift Card numbers so that when I place my order, I can quickly cut and paste the number into the
My Disney Experience app so I don’t have to keep typing out the numbers.
I hope this answers your question, Emily! If you have any follow-up questions or would like more information to help you with your vacation planning,
let me know. I’d happily share some more tips, recommendations, and suggestions so your vacation planning is smooth sailing!
Cheers!
