Hiya, Pamela!
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! I love helping fellow Disney Vacation Club Members maximize the magic of their Membership, and I am most happy to help you with your planDisney question. How exciting that you are looking to take advantage of the
Moonlight Magic event. These are very special experiences exclusively for Members and their Guests that add so much value to our Membership, as well as a bit of extra pixie dust to our vacations. I mean, exclusive after-hours access to select theme parks, Character greetings, entertainment, and delectable treats? Now that's what I call Member Magic!
Pamela, I have confirmed with both the
Disney Vacation Club website and Member Services that
Members can register themselves and up to four additional Guests per Membership number, for a total of five people. So, it would be completely fine for you to register your daughter to come with you, even though she is not on your reservation.
For future reference, if there are more than five Guests on your reservation, you can register up to the number of Guests on your Resort reservation provided it was modified and finalized prior to the date you register for the event. Children under the age of three do not need to be registered. Please note that cancellation of your Resort reservation will cancel your event registration automatically as well.
I also want to point out, Pamela, that General Registration for eligible Members for the September 13th event at
Disney's Hollywood Studios opens on
August 31 (pending availability.) It is important to note that a valid Vacation Club Digital Membership Card and photo ID are required at Check-In, and the Member who registers must be in attendance and the one who checks in the complete party. If you choose to enter the theme park prior to the Moonlight Magic start time, you will need theme park admission and a park reservation for that entry.
I recommend familiarizing yourself with the Moonlight Magic page on the Disney Vacation Club website, and clicking on the tab that says "Know Before You Go." This section has important information that is helpful to know prior to booking your reservation and attending the event.
Member Services can also be helpful in answering any questions that may pop up while registering.
I hope I have helped you Pamela, and if you have any additional DVC or Disney vacation planning questions, stop back and
see me here at planDisney. You've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon!
Keri
