Can I register for das pass for my child on line before I get to Disney world

    Hi Monty,

My family uses Disability Access Services when we visit and it has made a huge difference in how we enjoy a Disney World Vacation. The convenience of it allows us to navigate the parks with one less thing to worry about. As any parent with a kid who has a disability knows, lessening the load even a little bit can make such a huge difference.

The great thing about DAS is that you have 2 options for how you register. You have the option to pre-register via video chat between 2 and 30 days before arrival. Since you are registering for your child, they will have to be on the video call with you so the cast member can take a photo of the person who is applying for DAS. This allows the line attendant to verify it is you when you arrive to use your lightning lane. The process is simple and all you need to do is explain why your child can not wait in lines for an extended period. Once you complete that part of the process they will help you set up a few reserved rides for your trip.

I have never had a lot of luck getting the video chat to work because the wait time is either too high or my child and I are not in the same place due to work and school. We always opt to set up DAS when we arrive in person. All you need to do for this is go to Guest Relations at the main entrance to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios. There is also one located in Disney Springs.  You will wait in a short line where they will set everything up for you and you can immediately start utilizing DAS. Once you activate DAS it will be good to go for 60 days.

Before you head to Disney World, make sure to download the My Disney Experience App. The app will be where you navigate utilizing the DAS system. I also recommend setting up DAS at Guest Relations if you have never used the system before because the cast member will walk you through how to manage your ride selections in the app before you head out into the parks for your vacation.

    Happy Planning
