Hi Sharon, welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping your first question. I understand how important this is for your trip planning, and I'm super excited to help you prepare for your upcoming visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) is one of the
Accessibility Services available for Guests at Walt Disney World Resort. They're all about making sure everyone has a fabulous time in the parks and offering fantastic support services. Right now, DAS is set up to help Guests with a developmental disability like autism who can't wait in a regular queue for a long time.
You can register and chat with a Cast Member via live video chat up to 30 days before your park visit on their website to see if you're eligible.
If your trip is within 30 days, you can register whenever you're ready. Just a heads up, DAS doesn't give you immediate access to attractions, but it lets you request a return time for an experience based on the current standby wait time. Also, the person DAS is for must be there during registration and go on the ride when using a DAS return time at
Disney World theme parks.
Right now, there's no in-person way to request DAS registration. But if you haven't registered in advance, you can do a live video call on the day of your visit. If you're eligible for DAS after talking to a Cast Member, you can handle your pass and select return times right in the
My Disney Experience mobile app, and it's super easy to use.
I hope this info is helpful, Sharon! Remember, we're here for you every step of the way. Feel free to hit us up with more questions before, during, or after your trip.
We're here and happy to help out a friend like you.
Cheers
Nilson
