In regards to the monorail, it is free for anyone to use correct? i made adr at chef mickeys with my mom, hubby, kids, grandparents & i wanted to take the monorail. then when we're done they'll head back to the ttc & we'll head to MK.

    Hi Michelle,

You are correct! The WDW monorail is complimentary to all guests of the Walt Disney World resort. You do not need to be staying at a WDW hotel in order to utilize this mode of transportation.

Chef Mickey's is a fun restaurant located at the Contemporary Resort. If you park at the Transportation and Ticket Center, take the resort monorail directly to the Contemporary for your meal. If you will already be in the Magic Kingdom, you can just walk over to the Contemporary Resort or take the resort monorail and disembark at the first stop!

After dinner, you'll get back to the Magic Kingdom faster if you walk.

If the kids want a monorail ride, you can ride with the grandparents. The grandparents will exit at the Transportation and Ticket Center, and you'll stay on board with additional stops at the Polynesian Resort and then the Grand Floridian, before exiting at the Magic Kingdom.

Wave those napkins high at Chef Mickey's. Mickey throws a great party! Oh, and yes, the mashed potatoes are simply delicious.
