Hi Tammi,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am delighted to hear you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
My family uses the
Disability Access Service and it has truly been wonderful. We stop by Guest Relations to register for the service on each visit. I called to speak with a cast member in Disability Services to verify my answer for your question. She indicated that you would need to register your son at Guest Relations when you arrive. At this time, his Disability Access Service will not transfer from Disneyland® in California. She also indicated that guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort who need to use Disability Access Services would need to register again (on-site) every 60 days.
We love that we can use this service in addition to
Fast Pass+ service. So, we make all of our initial Fast Pass+ selections in advance. Although any member of your party can request the return time for the ride or attraction, when you actually return to ride, the person with the Disability Access Service has to scan in for the ride first, then other members of the party can scan in for the attraction. Also, know that when you register for the service, a cast member in Guest Relations will confirm the number of additional guests who can ride with your son.
Tammi, if you have other questions, please feel free to come back and visit us on the Disney Parks Moms Panel or call Disability Services at 407-560-2547!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
