Regardless of whether or not you buy a dining plan at WDW, is it still a good idea to make reservations 180 days ahead of time? We like to eat out 3 meals a day. It seems daunting to have to make all 3 reservations per day, ahead of time! Help!

    Hi Kristina!

This is a real good question! I can tell you from my own personal experience and numerous travels to the Walt Disney World Resorts, I have never call at the 180 day mark! However, I must say, there are restaurants such as Cinderella's Royal Table or Be Our Guest that would warrant someone calling that far in advance. The more popular restaurants fill up fast! Many guests choose these restaurants to celebrate a special event, and would like to visit on a particular date and time, so the 180 day calling makes sense. Also, if you are visiting, let's say during the Christmas Holiday, you will find that the restaurants fill up quickly. I have tried to walk in to some of the popular restaurants the day I visit the parks, and I have been turned away because they have no seating due to all the reservations. I totally understand your concerns about scheduling 3 meals a day, especially if you are like me that I won't know what I am in the mood for until that very day! However, if you know that there is a particular restaurant you would like to visit at a certain time/date, I would recommend that you reserve as soon as you are able to.

It has been a pleasure assisting you! Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

    Happy Planning!
