Regarding star wars weekends: do people really line up to get in at 6:00 am?? Any tips on this experience appreciated! Planning on doing HS earlier in week so really just there to experience star wars. No celebrity autographs. Must dos??

    Hi Danelle,

Yes, people really do line up that early during Stars Wars Weekends. However, these lines are for the celebrity autograph and merchandise venue.

When our family went to Star Wars Weekend, we arrived about 45 minutes in advance of park opening. This was to allow time to line up at the gate and witness the "pre-show" that the Storm Troopers do from atop the buildings. We did not get any celebrity autographs and did not visit the exclusive merchandise venue.

However, we were able to see most of the Star Wars characters. Sadly, I'm about as tall as an Ewok. LOL

I would meet the characters and get autographs. Also see the parade - it's amazing to watch all of the Storm Troopers and other characters march on by. R2D2 is just adorable! My husband and son absolutely loved the event. In fact, we are returning this year so that we can attend it again.

Some of the shows are worth seeing and the Hyperspace Hoopla is must!

You'll get tons of info about this event at www.StudiosCentral.com.

We will do the same and do the regular Disney Hollywood Studios attractions on a separate day. Sundays are suppose to be the least crowded if you can fit it into your schedule.

May the Force be with you!
