Regarding running the marathon at DW: how does it work if you're running through a park after it has opened (projected 5:30 time with a corral starting @ 6:00?) Is it clearly roped off, or do you have to dodge patrons? Thanks!

    Hi Crystal!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The Walt Disney World Marathon does run through parks and most runners will be going through at least two of them during normal park hours.  The path is very clearly roped off and the runDisney and Disney Cast Members do an EXCELLENT job at keeping everything organized and running smoothly.

Running through the parks is actually my favorite part of the race, and I especially love it when there are guests in the park.  Even the guests who didn't know they would be encountering a race get in the spirit and cheer you on enthusiastically.  Since the parks with visitors come late in the race, it is a welcome boost to your mentality!  I think you will love it, too.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions.
