Regarding the Halloween 2018 party, it lists the rides that will ne open during the party. They don't list Splash Mountain as being open during the party. Do you know if it will be open? Thanks

Hey, Heather! My daughters love to attend Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party each year. It just doesn't feel like fall until we have watched The Headless Horseman ride up Main Street, U.S.A. Of course, they love discovering what new treats await at all the Trick or Treat Stations!

While there are so many party-specific activities going on throughout the evening, there are many attractions and shows that remain open for partygoers. I have not yet seen an official list of those that will be open, so be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog in the coming months. They do a great job of keeping guests updated on all the park happenings. I remember last year that Splash Mountain was closed, but that was because the Briar Patch had gotten a bit thorny and needed some attention. In other years, it was open during the party. If Splash Mountain does indeed not remain open during the party this year, then I have a quick tip for you!

In my experience, guests holding tickets for the party have been welcomed to enter Magic Kingdom Park early, usually around 4:00 p.m. You could head to the park early that day and take a splash into the Briar Patch before the party begins and the attraction closes. If you link your party ticket to your My Disney Experience account and do not plan to make FastPass+ selections earlier in the day with your regular theme park tickets, you can make FastPass+ selections at Magic Kingdom Park with the party ticket. When we attended Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party this past year, we did just that and were able to experience our three favorite attractions with FastPass+ before the party began. It made for quite a magical Disney day!

Thanks for stopping by, Heather, and please let us know if you have any other questions.
