Regarding the Disney Dining Plan, my son is 10 so does he pay as an adult? It seems strange he pays the same as an actual adult when he won't be using (yet will be paying for) the alcoholic beverages.

Hi Andrea. Thank you for reaching out to planDisney!

As you've heard, it was recently announced that the Disney Dining Plan will be returning, beginning with stays starting January 9, 2024. These stays can start to be booked on May 31, 2023, which is right around the corner! Many Disney Parks fans are, well, fans of the Disney Dining Plan as they love the idea of prepaying for meals and snacks ahead of their vacation so their vacation feels more "all-inclusive." I'm very happy that this will once again be an option for Guests!

While there may be some information about the Disney Dining Plan available on the website, it's important to note that not all of the details have been released but should be soon. In general, Guests ages 10 or older are usually considered adults in terms of pricing at the Walt Disney World Resort. I would keep an eye on the Disney Dining Plan page as well as the Disney Parks Blog for more information when it is released!

While I'm always excited to visit the Walt Disney World Resort, I'm extra excited to see what 2024 will bring. Along with the Disney Dining Plan returning, Theme Park Reservations will no longer be required for Guests who have purchased date-based tickets starting January 9, 2024. This allows more flexibility in choosing what Guests want to do each day. Disney has also promised improvements to the Disney Genie Service as well. I can't wait to see what the future brings to the resort!

Andrea, if you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me in the future.

    Eat all the good stuff,
    Matt
