When will the refurb list come out for 2021??

    Hello Rachelle!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We’re so glad you brought your question here for us to answer!

Refurbishment season at the Disneyland Resort typically starts in January and depending on what's being refurbished, it can go into spring time. It can also be one of the slower times of the year and an excellent time to plan a trip. January is usually a heavy month of trips for us with our Annual Passports. Even with some attractions or entertainment under refurbishment, we always have a blast!

I spoke with a Cast Member and they said that there isn’t really a set date or time of when these refurbishments are announced. She said they could be announced as early as December but are usually announced right after the Holidays are over at the Disneyland Resort which is early January. There are a few rides you can always expect to be down at the beginning of the year. The Haunted Mansion and “it’s a small world” always go down to bring them back to their normal self after being transformed for the holidays. Splash Mountain and Grizzly River Run typically go down as well. Other than that it’s hard to predict what will be closed for refurbishment.

Well Rachelle, I hope you found this information helpful with planning your trip and if you have any more questions please come back and let us know.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
