Hiya Adela! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by to ask us this question. I'm sorry to hear that you won't be able to visit the
Disneyland Resort as you originally planned. The good news is there is some flexibility with your theme park ticket, so let's have a look.
While theme park tickets are
nonrefundable, you can still cancel your theme park reservation and use your ticket at another time before its expiration date. If you recently purchased your ticket at the Disneyland site, the expiration date is most likely December 30, 2024. You can also verify this within your purchase confirmation email. This gives you a little longer than a year to look for another time to reschedule your day of magic.
If you aren't able to find time to visit before your ticket expires, hakuna matata (it means no worries). You will still have the flexibility to
apply the value of your wholly unused, expired ticket (excluding special event tickets) towards the purchase of a new theme park ticket at the current price as long as the new ticket purchase price is greater than or equal to the amount paid for the original ticket. In fact, recently one of my friends was able to take advantage of this flexible policy with no issues.
I hope this helps put your mind at ease, Adela. Although it can be disappointing to have to change your magical plans, it's so nice to know that the magic will always be waiting for you when you are ready. I hope that you are able to find some time to reschedule your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth soon. If we can help with any other questions, please come back to visit us.
Have a magical day,
Michelle
