Can I get a refund on my our purchased tickets?

Hello and welcome to planDisney, Rebecca.

I see that you have a trip planned to Walt Disney World in July. That is such a great time to visit. The weather is nice and warm, perfect for swimming which is one of my very favorite things to do in the afternoon. There's nothing better than relaxing in a poolside chair after a morning spent at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks

Rebecca, you are not able to get a refund for already purchased Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets. The tickets themselves are non-refundable and non-transferable. However, in some cases, you may be able to change your unused existing Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets for another date.

What I recommend doing, Rebecca, is reaching out to a Cast Member on the Guests Relations team at (407) 939-1289. They are going to be able to provide you with the most accurate information about your particular Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets and situation.

You might also be able to change the dates of your particular tickets yourself via the MyDisneyExperience app if you think you might be able to visit Walt Disney World later in the year.

    Here's how to do it:
    1) On the My Disney Experience mobile app, click on the icon that looks like three stacked lines in the bottom right corner of the home page. This will take you to the Welcome page with your name at the top.

    2) Select "Tickets and Passes - you'll be able to see any active tickets linked to your account.

    3) Select the ticket you'd like to modify, and select "Change Ticket".  Before proceeding, make sure to check Theme Park Reservation Availability to make sure there is theme park availability when you would like to visit.

    4) Select "Valid Ticket Dates" to change the dates you'd like to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks and choose the first day of use for your ticket.

It's definitely worth a shot that way you won't lose the value of those tickets since they are non-refundable if you think you could go at a later date. I hope this helps, Rebecca. If you have any other questions about this or anything else, please feel free to stop back by and ask me. I'm happy to help.

    Good luck!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
