Have the 2012 refillable resort mugs been released yet? If so, what do they look like and how much do they cost? How many times must you refill them in order to get your money's worth on the purchase?

    Hello Jill!

I'm so glad you're hEAR with your question!

The refillable resort mugs are great.  We typically purchase them on each of our vacations.  I think I'm close to having a mild addiction to them.  I love filling mine up in the morning and taking a stroll around the resort, sipping my tea, and taking it all in.

As of today, the refillable mugs are the same design that premiered in 2011, depicting Mickey, Minnie, and the gang soaking up the rays and cost $14.49 plus tax.  There are different color lids to choose from to make it easy to tell everyone's drinks apart.

A soft drink at a resort counter service restaurant currently costs around $2.50 and a coffee will run you around $2.00.  So, you'll need to get about seven drinks in order to "break even" on the mug price.

We definitely use the refills enough on coffee and tea to justify the cost, but I would probably purchase the refillable mug anyway because I enjoy having it as a souvenir.  There's something about sipping my tea out of a Disney mug when we're home that makes it taste a little better!

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
