Where are the refillable mug stations at the Polynesian?

    Hiya, Brittany!

Welcome back to planDisney.  September might seem far away, but you'll be arriving at Walt Disney World Resort before you know it!  Did you hear the news that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is returning this year?  This is one of my favorite after-hours events of all time and I'm so excited that it will be back at Magic Kingdom Park this fall.  With exclusive entertainment and snack offerings, unique character sightings, and lots of time to experience all your favorite attractions, these frightfully fun parties are the perfect way to kick off Spooky Season.  Since the event runs from August 12th thru October 31st, you'll be visiting at the perfect time to join the party –– be sure to check out the event page on the Walt Disney World website for all the dates and details!

When we stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, my family's first stop is always to pick up a refillable Resort mug.  Not only are these a cost-effective and convenient way for us to enjoy beverages during our vacation, but they also make a great souvenir to bring home.  At Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you'll have two locations to refill your mugs –– Capt. Cook's and the Oasis Pool.  But remember, your mugs can also be filled at other Resorts, so if you're hopping on the monorail to visit Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney's Contemporary Resort, feel free to bring your mug along for a refill there, too.

The refillable mugs can't be refilled with soda or coffee at Walt Disney World theme parks, but they can still be a really useful addition to your park bag.  Most quick-service dining locations will be happy to provide you with a cup of water at no charge, so filling up your mug with water is a great, no-cost way to stay hydrated (especially in the hot Florida sun).  My kids even love to bring along a small bottle of flavored water-enhancer to make things a little more exciting –– just be sure to dump out any drinks or ice before you stash your mug back in your bag to avoid spills.

Thanks for bringing another question to planDisney, Brittany.  I'm wishing you a vacation that's filled with pixie dust when you visit Walt Disney World Resort this September!

    Happy Planning,
    Amy
